Research interests: methods of observing phenomena and detecting anomalies, algorithms in cybersecurity in the field of network steganography and steganalysis, and applications of biohacking in the treatment of civilisation diseases.
Krzysztof Szczypiorski is employed as a professor at the Warsaw University of Technology (WUT). Head and co-creator of the Division of Cybersecurity at the Institute of Telecommunications (IT), Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology of WUT. Co-creator and head of the Research Centre POB Cybersecurity and Data Analysis at WUT. Co-creator of the cybersecurity study programme at WUT.
He holds the following degrees: doctor of technical sciences and habilitated doctor of technical sciences in the field of telecommunications obtained at WUT, as well as the scientific title of professor of engineering and technical sciences in the discipline of technical informatics and telecommunications. He completed two postgraduate study programmes: in psychology of motivation at the Warsaw School of Social Psychology and Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Business School of WUT. He is also a graduate of the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, USA.
He has led over 20 scientific and research projects funded, among other entities, by: the US Armed Forces (including the US Army and US Air Force), the European Commission, the National Centre for Research and Development, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and the Fonds National de la Recherche (Luxembourg). Author or co-author of over 200 articles, one patent, and over 80 invited papers. For over 30 years, he has worked as an independent consultant in the field of network security, telecommunications, and information technology for such actors as: the National Security Bureau, Cisco, Hewlett-Packard, the Chancellery of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, the Ministry of Finance, Oracle, Orange, Polkomtel, Polska Grupa Energetyczna (Polish Energy Group), PwC, T-Mobile, and Xerox.
