Katarzyna Kosek-Szott obtained her Master of Engineering degree and defended her PhD in the discipline of telecommunications (both with distinction) at AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow in 2006 and 2011, respectively. In 2016, she was awarded the habilitation degree. She currently works as an associate professor at the Institute of Telecommunications at AGH University of Science and Technology. Her research interests focus mainly on wireless networks. She is a reviewer for international journals and conferences. She has participated in several European projects: DAIDALOS II, CONTENT, CARMEN, FLAVIA, PROACTIVE, RESCUE, and grants funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the National Science Centre. She is a co-author of more than 70 scientific papers. From 2015 to 2020, she served as a member of the editorial board of the journal “Ad Hoc Networks” published by Elsevier. Since September 2020, she has been a member of the editorial board of ITU J-FET: “Journal on Future and Evolving Technologies.” In 2018, she was a member of the Advanced Grant Panel of the European Research Council in the area of Systems and Communication Engineering. Additionally, in 2020, she served as a member of the Consolidator Grant Panel of the European Research Council in the area of Systems and Communication Engineering.
