Prof. dr hab. inż. Jacek Mańdziuk graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Technical Physics and Applied Mathematics at the Warsaw University of Technology in 1989; he was awarded a doctoral degree in 1993, a habilitation in 2000, and the title of professor in 2011. He is a Professor at the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Science at the Warsaw University of Technology, Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Computational Methods, and Head of Doctoral Studies in Computer Science at this faculty.
Prof. Mańdziuk is a member of the Scientific Council of the Systems Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences (2023-2026), the Council of the Foundation for the Systems Research Promotion of the Polish Academy of Sciences (2023-2027), the Scientific Council of NASK (since 2023), the Committee on Informatics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (2020-2027), the Council of Scientific Excellence (2024-2027), and others.
He is a recipient of the Fulbright Senior Award (University of California, Berkeley, USA; International Computer Science Institute, Berkeley, USA) and a scholarship from the Robert Schuman Foundation (CNRS, Besancon, France). In recent years, he has been a visiting professor at, among others, China University of Petroleum, East China (2023), Nanyang Technological University in Singapore (2015-2017), University of New South Wales in Australia (2013), Yonsei University in South Korea (2011), and University of Alberta in Canada (2011).
He is a member of IEEE (Senior Member), author of 3 books and about 200 scientific articles, and supervisor of 9 completed doctoral dissertations (7 with distinction). More information can be found at http://www.mini.pw.edu.pl/~mandziuk
